We offer two convenient ways you can order a TD42 injector kit:

    With a core deposit: A temporary upfront fee that allows you to keep your vehicle running while we prepare your replacement using one of our stock cores. Once your original part is sent to us, inspected, and found to be in good condition, the deposit is fully refundable.

    Sending in your own injectors: Prefer not to pay a deposit? Send your parts in advance. Keep in mind that turnaround times may vary depending on postage and part availability.

Please note: Cores must be returned within four weeks to qualify for a refund, disassembled cores are not accepted and some orders may require parts to be sent in first if no cores are available. How do I know if my injectors need replacing?

Common signs include rough idling, excessive smoke, poor fuel economy and reduced power. If you notice a drop in engine performance or uneven running, your injectors may be worn and due for replacement or servicing. We also recommend replacement approximately every 100,000km, but often see vehicles come in with over 400,000km on original injectors.

What does the core deposit mean when ordering injectors?

The core deposit is a refundable fee added when we supply injectors from our stock cores. It lets you keep your vehicle running while we prepare your new injectors. Once your old injectors are returned in good condition, the deposit is refunded.

Can I send my own TD42 injector set in instead of paying a core deposit?

Yes! If you prefer, you can send in your existing injectors for us to service or rebuild. Please note that we can only start the job once your parts arrive and are inspected.

Do these injectors fit both GQ and GU Patrols?

Performance 4x4’s rebuilt TD42 and outright injectors are suitable for both GU & GQ motors, with the exception of vehicles running a Ti injector pump. You need to select the electronic number 1 option with the plug for correct operation. If you're unsure about compatibility, we’re happy to help you confirm before purchase.

Do I need any special tools to install the injectors?

Basic hand tools and a torque wrench are typically all that’s needed. However, we always recommend speaking with a mechanic for proper installation and to preserve the warranty.

How long does it take to receive my injectors after ordering?

If we have stock and the core deposit is paid, dispatch usually occurs within 1–2 business days. If you're sending your own injectors, lead time starts once your parts are received and added to the queue.

Are these injectors tested before shipping?

Absolutely. Every reconditioned P4x4 injector undergoes rigorous testing to make sure correct flow, spray pattern and sealing. If the injectors are genuine factory outright units they are dispatched as received, brand new, in box from the manufacturer.

Is there a warranty on your injectors?

Yes, all our injector sets come with a 12-month warranty covering workmanship and manufacturing defects. We're committed to standing behind the quality of every set we supply. Product warranty is a 12 month/20,000km warranty.

This warranty is subject to testing and excludes any failure due to contamination, such as water or metal. Warranty also excludes failure due to incorrect installation or improper use.
